Charles Spurgeon said in1855 "the highest science, the loftiest speculation, the mightiest philosophy, which can ever engage the attention of a child of God, is the name, the nature, the person, the work, the doings and the existence of the great God whom he calls his Father." Go back and re-read that! That is a profound utterance which exhorts us to practice. It is a lifelong work!
One reason such a knowledge is vital is that it helps us to face the storms of life and they do come. Sometimes, in torrents. Wednesday Night we took a look at Psalm 46. That particular psalm reminds us to WHOM we need to look to when those storms come. God is our Refuge, River and our Rock. He alone will guide you through those storms.
