 THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST

“And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. But when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here; He is risen!”       Luke 24:2-5

When Jesus died on the cross a man by the name of Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus took His body and anointed it for burial. In the grave that body did not decay. It was preserved by the power of the Spirit.

Who raised Jesus from the dead?

The Father: Acts 13:30 says “But God raised him from the dead.”

The Son Himself: John 10:17-18 states “I have power to lay my life down and I have power to raise it up …”

The Spirit: Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Jesus from the dead, will also give life to your mortal bodies, through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

A Trinitarian God raised Jesus from the dead! The Holy Spirit, the constant companion of Jesus, played a very key role in that resurrection. And He will play a key role in your own!
