In Sunday’s message one of the truths we discussed was that because God created you and designed you and preserves your being, He also cares about you. In fact, He cares about everything that happens to you, every decision you make and every place you go. God is a great, wonderful and mysterious God. Full and total comprehension of His being as God is beyond our capacity. What we do know about God is revealed to us in the Bible and the Bible says that God cares about you and me!
I love the little verse in I Peter 5:7:
“casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”
“HE CARES FOR YOU!”
The eternal, infinite, wise, omnipresent God cares all about your life. He cares about your work and retirement. He cares about your friends and family. He cares about your money and your health. He cares most about your eternal destiny. That care has been demonstrated in the gift of His Son.
Jesus Christ came to pay the penalty for our sin.
He came to die on the Cross as our substitute.
He came to endure the guilt and condemnation of our sin.
He came to avert, He came to propitiate, to turn away the wrath of God.
He came to obey fully the Law that we had broken.
He came to reconcile us to a holy God.
He came to purchase our redemption by paying our sin debt.
He came to do for you what you could not do for yourself!
He came to seek AND save those who were lost.
Does God care about you? What does the Word of God say?
