PEACE FROM THE BLOOD
The Bible teaches us in many places the value of the blood for us. In fact, the blessings we receive from the Lord have as their theological foundation >>> the blood of Christ. Allow me to mention a few. Because of the blood, we can have peace with God.
PEACE with God! What a rare commodity but what a needed one. All unbelievers are at war with God. All unbelievers are enemies of God! Psalm 5:4-6; Romans 8:5-8 and Ephesians 6:1-12. But we dare not say that too loudly for we may offend someone who is not a Christian.
Man needs to make peace with God. We live in a world filled with chaos, fear and wickedness. It may manifest itself against one another but it is really and ultimately against God. Man is unable to create this peace. So he tries the latest new thing ...fashion ...gadget, etc.
Colossians 1:19-20 says “For in Him was all the fullness of God pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross.” Sin has ruined everything it has touched and that is all of mankind and all of creation. The blood of Christ is the only thing that will make an effective reconciliation! And Jesus is the only Reconciler!
Real peace. Spiritual peace. Lasting peace.
Peace that comes from the grace of God!
