 DAY # 2: CHRIST AND HIS BIBLE

 

MEMORY VERSE: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

 

Did you know that the only Bible Jesus ever had was the Old Testament? And He read it, studied it, memorized and used it in His ministry! He loved the Old Testament! And yet, some people today consider the Old Testament as old and antiquated and irrelevant.

 

Jesus read it in the synagogue. Luke 4:16-21

 

Jesus used it in the wilderness against Satan. Matthew 4:1-11

 

Jesus quoted it on the cross. Matthew 27:46

 

We need the Bible in every area of our lives! Jesus did!

What role does it play in your life?

 

By the way, the Old Testament is really a book about Jesus.

Abraham saw Christ a long time ago. John 8:56

Moses wrote about Him. John 5:46

David wrote about Him. Psalm 22

Prophets wrote about Him.   Isaiah 53:4-6

Read Luke 24:44-47.
