A RIGHT UNDERSTANDING OF GOD
It has been said by others that a right understanding of God is the most important thing about you! What you believe about God is critically important. When you think about God, what comes into your mind? Why is that so important?
Simply because high views of God lead to high and holy living, high and holy worship, high and holy evangelism, and high and holy service. And conversely, low views of God lead to imperfect and debased ways of understanding and interacting with God.
A proper understanding of God will better prepare you to understand yourself and the world around you. Why is that true? Because God created you and the world and He is sovereign over both! Your worldview, your philosophy of life, and your values are directly influenced by your very understanding of God!
Plus, your understanding of God did not develop in vacuum. You were taught something about God from somewhere or somebody. Our understanding of God must come from the Bible which is the foundation of all truth about God! For the next few days we are going to search the Scriptures and do what we can to try and understand God a little better!
