THE HANDS OF GOD

The Bible speaks at times about the “hand” or “hands of God.” For example, Jesus has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right Hand of God. The right hand of God is the hand of power and authority. (Hebrews 1:3 and 8:1)

The Bible has a lot to say about the “hands of God.” In John 10:28-30 Jesus declares, “I give them eternal life and they shall never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand; My Father, who has given them to me, and is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand …”

They are STRONG hands. Martin Luther, the great human catalyst for the Protestant reformation of the 16th century, said, “I have held many things in my hands and have lost them all. But whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.”

Place it all in the hands of God. All of it, my friend. All of it.

Those hands are SAVING hands. The hand of grace is extended to all sinners. The Lord Jesus, through His Word, pleads with sinners to repent and come to him. He said that whoever comes to me I will in no wise cast out. It is true and true forever that Jesus saves! John 6:37

Those hands are SECURE hands. When you place your life into the eternal, loving, powerful hands of God, your life is secure. Forever. There is no better nor safer place to be than to be in the hands of God. Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus! The classic passage on this is Romans 8:35-39.

Today, I am especially grateful for the hands of God! Amen? Amen!

For I am sheltered in the hands of God.
