TODAY'S PRIORITIES

Priorities are very revealing. They reveal what we think is most important in our lives. They reveal our values and deepest commitments. Priorities also reveal something else as well. Priorities tell you a lot about a person’s relationship to God. How much you treasure and value the things of God. Priorities reveal not what you say are your priorities but what actually are your priorities!

Show me your checkbook (or debit card) and I will show you what your priorities are. It is really that simple. Yes, priorities are quite revealing, aren’t they?

Psalm 29:2 says “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

That verse is a command, not an option.

We are created to know God and enjoy Him forever.

Worship should be the heart’s desire of every believer.

Worship gets a lot of bad press when it is confined to something you do only on Sundays. Worship is something you should be doing every day!

Taking time to give some thought of God and His truths concerning your life. Thoughts about the greatness of the person and character of God.

Thoughts about the incredible grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ that was expressed by His death on the cross!

Thoughts about all the blessings we enjoy because of our union with Christ. Thoughts about life and death, the glories of heaven. Re-unions with our loved ones. Rewards for a job well done!

What is your priority for the day? Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
